Corey Smart is the Director of Smart Ascent Solutions, bringing over 22 years of hands-on experience in the insurance and restoration industry across Australia.

Starting in Melbourne at just 17, Corey worked his way up from the ground level, gaining real-world experience in every aspect of restoration — from the toughest on-site work through to managing complex, high-value projects. That background means he understands what actually happens on site, not just what’s written in reports.

Over the years, Corey has opened and managed multiple restoration branches across the country, led teams for more than a decade, and project managed large-scale CAT (catastrophe) events nationwide. His experience also extends to remote and high-risk environments, including mine site projects in Darwin and Western Australia.

Corey has successfully delivered multi-million dollar restoration projects, including major loss claims. He is known for working effectively under pressure, keeping jobs moving, and bringing practical solutions to complex claims.

With a strong understanding of insurance processes, on-site operations and project delivery, Corey focuses on achieving outcomes that are efficient, reliable, and grounded in real experience.
